1. Home Dashboard

Your central hub for viewing training history and starting new workouts. The interactive calendar provides instant access to past sessions and makes it easy to begin your next workout.

  • Interactive Calendar: Tap any date to view its workout details or start a new session. Orange dots mark days with completed workouts. Navigate between months using the arrow buttons, or tap the calendar icon to jump to any month in the year.
  • Weekly Summary: See real-time metrics for the current week including total sets performed, cumulative weight volume lifted (in kg), your workout streak count, and number of training sessions.
  • Last Session Card: Tap the last session card to quickly review your most recent workout including exercises performed and when it occurred. Perfect for reference before planning your next session.
  • Start Session Button: The prominent button at the bottom (mobile) or sidebar (desktop) creates today's workout instantly. If you already started today's workout, it opens your existing session instead.

2. Logging Your Workout

The workout detail page is your training hub where you build your session by adding exercises and logging each set. The interface prioritizes speed and ease of use during your workout.

  • Adding Exercises: Tap the "+ Add Exercise" button to open the search modal. Type to search through exercises you've logged before, or create a new exercise by typing its name and pressing "Create new". Recent exercises appear first for quick access.
  • Workout Notes: At the top of the page, you can add notes about how you felt, energy levels, or any observations about the session (e.g., "feeling strong today" or "shortened rest periods"). These notes help you understand context when reviewing past workouts.
  • Live Summary Stats: As you log sets, the summary at the top updates in real-time showing total exercises completed, sets logged, total reps performed, and cumulative volume (total weight × reps across all sets). This helps you gauge workout intensity.
  • Rest Timer: Tap the timer icon to set rest periods between sets. The timer runs in the background and shows a countdown overlay, helping you maintain consistent rest intervals for better training outcomes.

3. Logging Sets & Reps

Each exercise has its own set table where you log performance data. Tap any exercise in your workout to expand its detail view and begin logging sets, reps, and weights.

  • Entering Data: Tap the reps or weight value to open a number picker modal. All weights are displayed and stored in kilograms for consistency. Select your value from the picker and it saves automatically. Quick and frictionless input designed for speed.
  • Previous Performance: Above the set table, you'll see your last workout's performance for this exercise (e.g., "Last: 3 sets, 12kg avg"). This helps you aim for progressive overload by beating previous numbers.
  • Personal Records: Sets that represent your all-time best performance for that exercise are marked with a sparkle icon. This is determined by the highest weight × reps product you've ever achieved.
  • Adding Sets: Tap "+ Add Set" at the bottom of the set table to add another set to the exercise. Each new set is automatically numbered (Set 1, Set 2, etc.) and you can log as many as needed.

4. Exercise Performance Tracking

When you tap an exercise within a workout, it expands to show comprehensive performance data. This view combines current session logging with historical context to help you train smarter.

  • Personal Records Display: At the top of the exercise detail, you'll see your lifetime best performances including max weight lifted, max volume set (weight × reps), max reps at any weight, and best volume workout (total volume in one session for this exercise).
  • Exercise History: Below the set table, scroll through your complete training history for this exercise. Each past session shows the date, total sets, reps, and volume lifted. Tap any historical session to view its full details.
  • Progress Context: The "Previous Performance" section shows your most recent workout's stats for direct comparison, making it easy to aim for progressive overload (beating previous weight, reps, or total sets).
  • Real-Time PR Detection: As you log sets, any that match or exceed your all-time best are instantly highlighted with a sparkle icon, providing immediate feedback when you hit new personal records.

5. Review Analytics

The Review page transforms your workout data into actionable insights through visual analytics and detailed summaries. Use this page to understand your training patterns, identify trends, and make informed decisions about your programming.

  • Flexible Timeframes: Select from preset periods (This Week, Last Week, 30 Days, 90 Days) or define a Custom Range with start/end dates for any arbitrary period. Each timeframe shows comparative data against the previous equivalent period to track changes in volume and frequency.
  • Volume Trend Chart: Line graph displaying total training volume (kg lifted) over time. For weekly views, data is shown per day; for 90-day views, data is aggregated by week. This helps you identify if volume is increasing, plateauing, or decreasing.
  • Training Frequency Analysis: Bar chart showing which days of the week you train most frequently. Helps you understand your training consistency and spot patterns (e.g., always skipping Mondays or preferring weekend sessions).
  • Muscle Group Distribution: Color-coded visual breakdown showing percentage of total volume allocated to each major muscle group (chest, back, legs, shoulders, arms, core). Identifies if you're overemphasizing or neglecting specific muscle groups.
  • Session Highlights: Displays your strongest session (highest volume) and lightest session within the selected period. Tap either card to jump to that workout's details. Useful for understanding your performance range and recovery patterns.
  • Narrative Summary: An intelligent analysis synthesizing all metrics into plain-English insights. Discusses training distribution across the period, consistency patterns and gaps between sessions, volume changes versus previous period, average session intensity, muscle group focus, and workout day patterns. Tap "Details" to expand comprehensive bullet points covering distribution, volume, intensity, muscle focus, training patterns, and peak/recovery performance.

6. Focus Signals

The Focus page uses algorithmic analysis of your training history to provide data-driven recommendations about what to train next. It helps prevent imbalances, overtraining, and ensures you're hitting all muscle groups with appropriate frequency.

  • Overdue Muscle Groups: Identifies muscle groups you haven't trained recently based on your typical training frequency. For example, if you usually train chest every 4 days but it's been 6 days, it will flag as overdue. This prevents unintentional neglect of body parts.
  • Exercises Due for Attention: Lists exercises you perform regularly (at least 3 times in your history) that haven't appeared recently compared to your usual frequency. Helps maintain exercise variety and ensures compound movements aren't accidentally dropped from your routine.
  • Balance Metrics: Circular progress charts showing Upper vs. Lower body volume balance and Push vs. Pull volume balance over the last 14 days. Helps ensure you're not creating muscular imbalances (e.g., training chest way more than back, or legs more than upper body).
  • Weekly Volume Change: Compares this week's training volume to last week's, showing percentage increase or decrease. Upward arrows indicate volume increase (good for progressive overload), downward indicates a deload or recovery week. Helps manage training load and prevent overtraining.
  • Focus Summary Takeaway: A concise sentence at the bottom synthesizing all signals into one clear recommendation (e.g., "Focus on lower body today - legs are overdue and upper/lower balance favors upper body this week"). This gives you immediate guidance without needing to interpret all metrics.
  • Transparent Calculations: Tap any info icon (ℹ) next to metrics to see the exact formula and logic behind that calculation. No black box algorithms—you understand exactly how recommendations are generated. This builds trust and helps you learn the principles behind effective programming.

7. Exercise Library

The Exercises page serves as your personal movement database, cataloging every unique exercise you've performed and providing deep-dive statistics for each. Use this page to track progression on specific lifts and browse your training repertoire.

  • Complete Exercise Index: Displays every unique exercise you've logged across all workouts. Each exercise card shows the exercise name and total number of sessions performed (e.g., "Bench Press: 24 sessions"). The list is searchable for quick navigation in large libraries.
  • Search Functionality: Use the search bar at the top to filter exercises by name. Particularly useful once you've built up a library of 50+ exercises. Type any part of an exercise name to instantly filter the list.
  • Detailed Exercise Statistics: Tap any exercise to view its dedicated stats page showing lifetime personal records (max weight, max reps, max volume set, best total volume), progression line charts over time, and complete session history. Perfect for tracking strength gains on specific lifts.
  • Training Frequency Insights: See how often you perform each exercise based on total sessions logged. Helps identify your "bread and butter" movements versus accessory exercises you perform less frequently. Useful for ensuring you're hitting key compound lifts regularly.

Pro Tips

  • Stay Consistent: Build workout streaks by training regularly—consistency beats perfection.
  • Progressive Overload: Try to beat your previous performance—more weight, reps, or sets.
  • Review Regularly: Check the Review page weekly to spot trends and adjust your training.
  • Use Focus Signals: Let the Focus page guide what muscles or exercises need attention.
  • Rest Timer: Use the rest timer to maintain consistent rest periods for better results.
  • Track Everything: Log every set, even warmups—more data means better insights.
